Missionaries Needed
Who is a missionary? A missionary is an individual who goes to another country to spread the good news of Jesus Christ, sends an individual to another country by assisting financially for the voyage or, enables a missionary in their mission to purchase supplies of Bibles, writing utensils, crafts, etc.
Which missionary are you the; go'er, sender, or enabler?
If you are fortunate to have a job in Belize, the average worker makes $10 or less a day. Single parent families have no day care, and little to eat. Children grow up on the street in the ways of the world. They grow up with little and expect little.
These children need to know that God loves them. Who will tell them of God's love if no one is sent? In Vacation Bible School they will receive a nutritious snack and learn of God's purpose for their lifes.
Galatians 6:9-10
"So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up. 10 So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith."
These children at CASA were abused physically, sexually and mentality. Before they came to CASA they had no hope, thought they were unloved, and were not sure where their next meal was coming from. CASA provides three warm meals a day, a clean change of clothes, their own bed in a warm room under a roof that does not leak. They learn to read and write and when they become a teen they are taught how to be a productive member of Guatemala.
But the most important thing they learn is that they are loved, and God loves them. Missionaries are needed to hold, hug and wipe runny noses. Won't you come or send someone to hold and hug a child and tell them, "I love you, and you are special to God and to me."
1 John 3:16-18
"This is how we know what real love is: Jesus gave his life for us. So we should give our lives for our brothers and sisters. 17 Suppose someone has enough to live and sees a brother or sister in need, but does not help. Then God’s love is not living in that person. 18 My children, we should love people not only with words and talk, but by our actions and true caring."
Our Mission dates have been set, we will be going to:
Belize - July 21 to July 29, 2011 - Vacation Bible School.
Approximate cost $1500 per person
We will need to purchase a curriculum as well as materials such as; crafts, crayons, prizes. These will have to be shipped from the US.
Guatemala - July 30 to August 5 2011 - "CASA ALELUYA" children's home.
Approximate cost $1800 per person
We will be contacting CASA about a month before we arrive as to what their immediate needs are and at that time we will decide on how best to meet those needs. If enough funds are provided, we may adopt a dorm and bring whatever the children in that dorm need.
